KAPURTHALA : SAYS WEAR MASK PROPERLY AND WASHING HANDS FREQUENTLY TO KEEP VIRUS UNDER CHECK : DC
(HNI ब्यूरो) : Amid increasing cases of COVID-19 pandemic, the Deputy commissioner Deepti Uppal today urged the people to strictly adhere to the health and safety protocols to keep the further spread of corona virus under check.Under ‘Mission Fateh’ launched by Punjab Government, collective efforts in the battle against coronavirus are need of the hour to beat the COVID-19, she asserted.
In an appeal through social media, the Deputy Commissioner said that early awareness and early detection could lead in containing the spread of virus, which was possible by following the health and safety protocols. She emphasised that proper wearing of masks and washing hands frequently could contain the spread of COVID and all of us should apply these in our daily routine meticulously without any fail. She said that if someone was travelling outside home, he/she should wear masks and abide by the health protocols besides washing hands, which was call of the day in these trying circumstances.
Lauding the cooperation extended by the residents of Kapurthala districts during curfew/lockdown, the Deputy Commissioner said that people should adhere to the guidelines issued by the State Government and Health Department in true spirit as they followed the directions during the lockdown/curfew period to contain the Corona virus. She said that there was no need to be panicky but people should be careful and maintain social distance in view of rising number of cases. She mentioned that people should inform the Health officials in case of any symptom like flu, body ache, cough etc to get them tested immediately.Referring to ensuing rainy season, the Deputy Commissioner also advised the people to ensure that there should be no stagnated water around their premises to check the water borne diseases like malaria, dengue etc. she also asked time-to-time cleaning of air coolers and cover the water storing vessels with proper lids to prevent breeding of mosquitoes.
